About POLYREC

Our research platform focuses on innovation and optimisation of processes dedicated to adding value to polymer materials.
Thanks to our equipment and our scientific environment, we offer to support you in your projects to find solutions tailored to your challenges.
Our infrastructure includes recycling equipment, processing and characterising polymers. This synergy enables us to carry out complete projects: from recycling polymers to recovering them in the form of plastic pellets or products, while validating the performance obtained using suitable characterisation methods.

The technologies we use in recycling are, for the most part, already tested and, in some cases, implemented on an industrial scale. Our aim is to define the most suitable parameters for each project, in order to improve the processes efficiency and the quality of the materials treated.

Our expertise covers a wide range of processes

  • Chemical/tertiary recycling:

    • Catalytic pyrolysis

    • Biological depolymerisation

    • Solvolysis

    • Devulcanisation

  • Secondary recycling processes :

    • Depollution using irradiation

    • Depollution using extraction

    • Specific extrusion

  • Mechanical overcycling by adding compatibilisers

  • Recovery of extracted substances of interest (focus on bromine, metals, liquid crystals)

  • Co-energy recovery from biomass/plastic waste

We also offer a range of project types to suit your needs:

  • Internships and student projects (1 to 6 months)

  • Contract of professionalisation, sandwich course

  • CIFRE, academic or ANR thesis, etc.

  • Collaborative project submitted to calls for projects

  • Industrial research project

  • And others...
