Studies, publications and events
We have carried out various recycling projects with industry partners and academic institutions. Here is a non-exhaustive list:
As well as internal or university projects:
- Delamination of brake pads – Nov. 2024
- Devulcanisation of the elastomeric part of tennis balls – Feb. 2021
- Extraction of resveratrol using supercritical CO2 – Nov. 2024
- Development of an analytical method for quantifying PER, BPA and PAHs – Feb. 2025
Then
- Decontamination using supercritical CO2 of a model material previously contaminated with PER, BPA and PAHs – Sept. 2025
And other projects not detailed here and/or confidential

To mark the occasion of World Recycling Day on 18 March 2026, POLYREC and the Michel-Eugène Chevreul Institute organised a day dedicated to the themes of recycling, eco-design and the life-cycle analysis of polymers.
The programme for the day included:
- Oral presentations by academics, alternating with presentations by start-ups and industry representatives
- A poster session
- A ‘speed networking’ session dedicated to discussions between industry representatives and academics
- Visits to the POLYREC hub
This event was a follow-up to the 2025 event, which had brought together more than 70 participants (researchers, students and industry representatives) to attend presentations by four researchers (photos on the right).
You can see some of the photos from the 2026 event below.
For the 2027 edition, we will be meeting in Lille as part of the Beyond Waste event, co-organised with other members of PEPR recyclage.
